In Asia’s safest city, the police have long been untouchable. Approaching midnight in Hong Kong, police headquarters receives an anonymous call: a fully loaded police van carrying the force’s most advanced equipment and five highly trained officers has disappeared off the grid. The hijackers possess direct knowledge of police procedures and are already several steps ahead. The police must meet a list of demands to ensure the hostages’ release, including the delivery of a large ransom. Any delay will cost lives. The clock has begun to tick.
Rival Deputy Commissioners Sean Lau and Waise Lee fight to take charge of the rescue operation, code named COLD WAR. Lau wants to negotiate with the hijackers while covertly tracking them to their hideout. Lee is ready for an all-out aggressive attack, no matter the cost. For them, there’s much more at stake than the safety of the hostages or the reputation of the police. With the Commissioner stepping down, the seat will soon be vacant. COLD WAR will decide who climbs to the top.

In the sweltering heat of Tokyo summer, the night begins with a hapless bank robbery and the disappearance of ten million yen belonging to the Tojo gang. Meanwhile, yakuza Majima Goro (Kishitani Goro), decked in a gold suit and with more than a few screws loose, is out to fight rival gangster Kiryu Kazuma (Kitamura Kazuki). The somber and seemingly indestructible Kiryu, however, has just left his gang and has in tow a little girl (Natsuo), whose mother he is trying to track down. In another part of Shinjuku, Satori (Shioya Shun) and his girlfriend (Saeko) decide to start holding up stores for fun, and mysterious Korean hitman Park (Gong Yoo) haunts the rooftops looking to off the culprit behind the bank robbery. As the night passes, Majima and Kiryu cross paths repeatedly, in a series of increasingly bloody and bombastic stand-offs that bring them straight to the top of the Millennium Tower.

Kurono decides to continue playing to achieve 100 points, and he and several remaining members of the team continue to work for GANTZ. A woman, Ayukawa Eriko (Ayumi Ito), receives a small box in her mail, in it is a small black sphere. The sphere begins to give her messages; telling her she has the first key and thanks her for her work the previous night, something of which she is unaware she has done. The sphere tells her that there are four keys leading to the room (the one with the large sphere know as GANTZ) and then gives her the details on the next person she must kill. The first three people she kills appear in the sphere room and join the team.
It is revealed that there is someone following the previous events leading up to Kato's disappearance, they have evidence on missing people and bodies. The investigator eventually uncovers a mysterious basement room full of people and is told to follow another lead before having the secret to the room and sphere given to him by their leader. Kurono and the team are sent out to kill the leader of the men from the basement, and at the same time Eriko is on the train to kill Kurono's love interest (Yuriko Yoshitaka).

Standing at a subway station a young man, Kurono (Kazunari Ninomiya), watches as his old primary school friend, Kato (Ken'ichi Matsuyama), attempts to rescue a man who has fallen onto the tracks. Kurono ends up on the tracks with Kato after the man has been rescued, just as a train is speeding through the station. The pair are surprised to find themselves not dead, but rather relocated to a room with a few other people. When they turn round they see a strange black sphere, about two metres in diameter.
Before they can discover what has happened, the sphere begins to display messages on its surface including one which tells them who to kill. After the messages the sphere projects two large drawers filled with metal brief cases and strange handguns. They find that they are part of a strange game where they must not only work out how to play, but also how to survive.

Kim is arrested and has to spend a few days in prison for seduction of minors, before she is set free and sentenced to do some hours of community service. After being released, the press and Seo-hyun wait for her outside of the prison.

Mun-hee and Seo-hyun rent a room and stay there for some time, where they spend almost all of their time having sex. Mun-hee slowly starts to understand that this kind of relationship won't work forever, and wants to split up with Seo-hyun. But the boy insists that he really loves her, and that he won't let her go. The two find shelter at the home of a friend of Mun-hee, Jane.

Taking place in the younger days of the famous monk, Tripitaka (known for bringing the sacred Bhuddist sutras from India to China), the film tells a fantastical adventure of the monk and his three disciples. On their way to the city of Shache, the monk narrowly escapes an attack from a group of demons. While trying to think of a way to rescue his disciples, he is captured by the king of reptiles and placed under the vigilance of Meiyan, an ugly demon who falls in love with the monk. Luckily, a princess from another galaxy rescues the monk, deeply affecting Meiyan, who pursues the two. In a twist of fate, the ugly Meiyan decides to help her beloved and teams up with the princess to rescue Tripitaka’s three disciples.

Directed by Wataru Furata.  A taxi driver is working the late evening shift. His first customer is a old lady, his second customer is a young woman and his third customer is middle-aged. The cycle repeats itself.

8. The Promise: (5 min)
Directed by Keisuke Toyoshima.  Don’t play jokes or bet on your dead grandmother.

A grisly murder occurs in Maruyama-cho, Shibuya, Tokyo — a love hotel district — a woman was found dead in a derelict apartment. Whilst the police investigate, the story interweaves with that of Izumi, the wife of a famous romantic novelist whose life seems just a daily repetition without romance. One day, to break away from the loveless monotony, she decides to follow her desires and accepts a job as a nude model enacting sex in front of the camera. Soon she meets with a mentor and starts selling her body to strangers, whilst at home she hides behind the facade that she is still the wife she is supposed to be.
